Thanks for your earlier reply. What about FB 6340?
its the same as 6360 just without ISDN port. for the rest there is no difference

Thanks for your reply.Sorry to reply late.I will buy AVM FB 6340 from Kabel BW as 6360 is available only with ISDN option & then attach a Gigaset C610IP phone to connect Landline as well as VOIP phone in one device.. I hope this works as it has Landline port as well as RJ 45 port. I think this advisable compared to attaching one more FB for e.g. 7170. Please share your experiences. Thanks in advance.

DECT and USB is not available too. But regarding voip it is the same procedure. This is made by Kabelbw not by AVM.

Sorry - I don't have any expierences with international editions.
Within german editions it works at same way.

If there is no need talking via several lines there is absolute no need using ISDN-Option.
I'm using 6360 with my family. Just now 2 Lines are working. I have one SIP-Account connected to my old 7170

Thanks for your reply,I have connected my FB 7170 with FB 6340 cable for voip telephony, but I cannot access FB 7170 can anyone please help? How to get access to 7170? Thanks in advance.

1. Check internal IP-Adress of your cable Fritzbox (i.e. 192.168.178.1) and write it on a paper.
2. disconnect LAN cable from PC to cable Fritzbox, connect LAN cable from PC to 7170 (your 7170 is not connected to cable)
3. turn 7170 on and wait until it finnished booting. You will see some blinking lamps (no connection to internet) but this doesn't matter
4. usually you should have connection to http://fritz.box - if not, just reboot your PC
5. make settings like my example in attachement. Please change IP to your envirement. After you pushed "übernehmen" you will not see any response from 7170. This is ok.
6. disconnect PC from 7170 and connect 7170 to your cable Fritzbox. You MUST use port 1 on 7170.
7. connect PC to cable lan (like before).

Now you should
- have conection to internet again
- have connection to Fritz.box as before
- have connection to 7170 via ip-adress

you just have to setup your voip

Configuration I discribed above has to be done without any connection to 6340/6360.
Connect your 7170 with correct LAN port to 6340/6360 after configuration.
If your configuration was correct your 7170 ist available at http:\\Ip-Adress of 7170.

You should be able to connect to 7170 via emergency IP (http://169.254.1.1)
Please make sure that only Notebook is connected to 7170.
Within user interface expert mode should be enabled. (You see it top right on start page)
Now go back to the page I published above. and check settings again.
Wherever I set 192.168.181.1 you have to set IP of your 6360
Where I set 192.168.181.2 you have to set IP of your 6360 but last digit is 2.
Subnet mask 255.255.255.0 is correct.
Push accept button.

Now connect 7170 Port1 to any Port of 6360.
Either you just reboot your notebook or went to the desktop PC.
You should now be able to access 7170 via it's ip-adress. (http://ip-adress-of-7170)

I found a unused 7170 at home and made some tests:
Please connect LAN cable on 7170 not to port 1. Please use port 2-4.
Turn off WLAN if used. (in Notebook and 7170)
Restart Notebook.
Check IP adress of your Notebook in your envirement above. (Either Network Center - Lan - Details or cmd.exe ipconfig)
If your IP is 169.... http://169.254.1.1 should work
if your IP is 192.x.x.x http://192.x.x.1 should work

Port1 on 7170 is used later on to connect 7170 to new 6360 Network as client.

I found some Links in english from avm.de for you: http://www.avm.de/en/service/index.html
Especially "knowedge base" and "support" could be very helpfull.
Unfortionatly neither 6340/6360 nor 7170 is available.
But you can use 7270. This is similar to both products.

Fax and phone is not a pretty good idea.
http://service.avm.de/support/en/skb/FR ... -FRITZ-Box
You need to configure answering machine too. Afterwards you have allways problems: You are to slow for phone calls and you are to quick for fax.
With ISDN option and a dedicated line it works perfect.

Sending Fax works with your Phone line. This is my option too. Last year I only got 1 incoming fax. Sending fax is used much more.
